During the three day session, the class discussed opportunities and impacts with community and industry leaders representing economic development, education, county government, private industry, and agriculture. Tours included the Lonetree man camp, Terracor frac sand facility, Oasis Petroleum drilling and frac sites, and the ONEOK Riverview rail facility. CLASS I INSIGHTS:

"Coming from a background of grain and cattle I found the Sidney session very informative. It was very interesting to learn how all of Montana's natural resource industries complement each other and how they need each other to thrive now and into the future. My observations were that the oil and gas industries in Eastern Montana are going above and beyond to be good stewards of the land and great supporters of the communities they impact."
-Shaud Schwarzbach, Big Sandy

"The Sidney seminar was a great opportunity to hear firsthand how the energy boom has impacted our rural Montana communities and how they have responded to the effects of the oil and gas industry."
-Kate Montgomery, Worden
